Another rainy day in Belfast

 The showery weather continues. Today we had a City tour of the different quarters of Belfast. The very majestic City Hall and Memorial to the Titanic are just near our Hotel. Then to the “English” sector where the British flags are evident, followed by the Irish sector. The dividing wall is still in place even though “peace” was attained in 1998. We got to add our message to the wall with a pen. The imposing Parliament House in Stormant is set in 99 acres of wooded grounds. This afternoon was to be a trip to Hillsborough Castle and Gardens in County Down. But owing to planned street protests (anti immigration clashes) this afternoon in the areas around our hotel, which could not guarantee the safe arrival back of our bus, it was cancelled.
